SWEET TEA: A QUEER VARIETY SHOW
There's a lack of spaces where multiple forms of queer art and performance meet. Few spaces fused drag with live music and comedy and film and so on. It was out of this lack of space that SWEET TEA, a queer variety show, was created. In January 2014, the first show took place in Noni's on Edgewood Ave, then running for two years at the now defunct The Hangar. After a two residency at Eyedrum gallery, countless showcases featuring the likes of Abdu Ali, ZenSoFly, and bell's roar, Atlanta's longest running queer variety show is entering it’s 6th year with a new look, space, and energy.
SWEET TEA occurs every 3rd Thursday at 529 in the East Atlanta Village.

AMEN: A DRAG SHOW
In 2017, Edgewood Ave was blank of queer nightlife and entertainment. AMEN began as a monthly drag show, aimed to bring the queer crowd back to downtown and to one of the most polarizing bars in the city.
AMEN occurs every 1st Thursday at Sister Louisa’s Church on Edgewood Avenue.
MOTHERSHIP: It’s A Drag Show!
